Tesco, part 4
Recieved yesterday, a letter from Tesco apologising for something that shouldn't have happened - the 'muck' in the frozen veg. Five quid voucher. Not a bad return for the original 77p. We're obviously glad we didn't eat it!

Tesco mystery object - part 3
Following the letter from Tesco, we brought the remainder of the bag of frozen veg back to the store's Customer Services desk.
"Hello, I got this letter, asking me to return this back of frozen veg because there was something in it that shouldn't be there"
(Blank stare)
"I wrote to the manager, she asked me to bring it back"
(Blank stare)
"I bought the veg a couple of weeks ago, something in it that shouldn't be there, I wrote to the manager"
(Blank stare)
Eventually the stare melted: "You wrote to the manager of this store?"
Oh dear...
After further clarification she asked me if I wanted to exchange it for another bag. I declined, pointing out that after finding something pretty nasty looking and nearly eating it, I had hoped for more than a swap. She offers me a refund. I decline and am pointed to the supervisor.
He takes my details and details of the bag of veg. He asks if I am happy for the supplier to contact me (which I am) and hands me 77p.
Yippee, some way to impress the customers. OK, Tesco themselves didn't put the nasty object in the veg but surely they are meant to bend over backwards to impress them?

Tesco mystery object, part 2
Readers of my previous Blog entries, at 20six will be aware of the 'mystery object' we found a week ago in our Tesco frozen mixed veg. It was about the size of a broad-bean, brownish-green of mucky-texture with fibres running through it. We have recieved a (very badly spelt) reply from them, asking for the bag and its contents to be returned to the store so they can take information from it to help locate the precise supplier. No word, as yet, of any compensation. A trolly dash? A month's free groceries? Oh the possibilities...
