Yep, yet again I have left it AGES since my last blog. I just haven't really had much to write about. And I'll get an idea for a blog, but then once I get started writing it...I can't be bothered anymore! Lame, I know.
So I've finally got myself a job, working in a pub. I haven't got many hours at uni in the week so it's quite nice having something else to do a couple of nights a week. It will be my fifth night tonight, so far the only problem I've found is that some people can be really rude. I can understand if I just messed up completely (although they should cut me a bit of slack especially if it's busy), but most people are just unneccesarily impolite! But then when other customers are polite I really notice it. So next time you're in a pub, please be nice to your barmaid/man. It makes the night alot nicer, and puts me in good mood for the rest of my shift : )
In other news, I seem to have got myself into a bit of money trouble...(thank god for my job). I didn't want to tell my parents about it, but it's gotten pretty bad so they're giving me money so I can get out of my overdraft. I extended my overdraft to pay for my accomodation fees, because I didn't want to ask them for money. Basically I wanted to sort it out for myself, and thought that they'd be disappointed with me for spending far too much money. I sort of went a bit overboard in my first few weeks back at uni, seeing a friend that had come up to York to see her family and we were out pretty much everynight. Thing is, if I could do it all again I probably would! It was a great couple of weeks.
But the money should be sorted out now...my parents were really nice about it (although only my mum knows just how much I'm overdrawn...she told my Dad that it was considerably less) and basically said that they dont' want me worrying about money, although obviously they expect me to be more careful with it in the future!
So it was Valentine's Day on Wednesay. I spent the night at work - ooh yeah, hot date. It was crazy busy that night though, there were a load of sports teams from York St. John's and they kept chanting this irritating song. The lyrics were something along the lines of "St. John's is the best". Seeing as I'm at the University of York I wasn't too impressed. I also had the guys that kept coming up to the bar - "So where's your boyfriend tonight?" although they're all pretty harmless.
That is about it! So I best go get myself ready for work tonight...
