As the Motorhead T-shirt says...

...Merry Bastard Xmas. I'm off to eat and drink, 'til I can't eat or drink no more, and generally make like Father Jack. I will be smoking Senior Service and fat cigars.
I have Steak for my tea tonight. The Curry house is booked for tomorrow. Some other bugger cooks, some other bugger washes up. Then back to my pals for Port, Stilton, extra trippy dreams and liver damage.
What ever you get up to I Hope you all have a good one and a better New Year.

Old Skool Indy.

What seems a long time ago I toured with a band working on the lighting crew. My boss was the L.D. for the main band and owned the lighting company I worked for. I was second man on the rig, and as such I got to do lights for the support band. One of those was a band called 'Ned's Atomic Dustbin'

Tonight I've got my old job back. I'm lamping for them again. On their 20th Anniversary Xmas Bash. Bloodyhell it was a long time ago.

If you remember the band, maybe check out the live webcast. (£3.50). If you're youthful enough not to remember the band. Maybe check them out anyway. See how Indy was done in the Olden Days.

Plus it'll be me making all the lights go flishy flashy.

Still opening the doors...

...on the Lego Advent Calender and making little models. Here's a group photo of the contents so far. I'll be back after midnight again today, so I get to open on then.

There seems to be a pattern. A little bloke, then two things associated with him. It's so neat wondering what's going to be behind the next door.

Coming from the nokia 9500 via GPRS cool eh?

As much as I like my Lego...

...I like my beer or proper cider at my local pub as well. I didn't have time to build the thing behind the door or post the advent calender picture the other day, even though I opened the door to find out what was behind it.
I was dashing around yesterday because Cha0tic Special Circumstances Section had a project on. Which meant me leaving town. So I haven't opened yesterdays door. Being away from town meant I couldn't open todays door. Arriving back in Wolves I was torn. I could go to my local for last orders, or open calender doors and play with Lego. The pub won as it will shut, whilst the Lego isn't going anywhere. This way I have my cake and eat it. Cider now and Lego later.

Yay!

I have the best little sister in the world.

I have the best little sister in the world. If you have a little sister yourself I'm afraid you'll just have to accept that she's not as ace as what mine is. Why is this a fact, not an opinion you're probably asking yourself?

Look what I got in the post the other day:

Yes it's a Lego Advent Calender. She'd sent it to work, as by the time the post arrives at mine, I'm either in work, or I'm not awake yet and collecting a parcel from the parcel collection place is a pain in the hole. So I open up the packing box at work and all of a sudden I'm surrounded by rough tough stage hand work mates going:

"Oooh you've got Lego, Open it up, let's see."
"I love Lego."
"Lego's great. I buy it for my kids so I can play with it"

The box opens up like so:

On the right there are 24 little doors, behind each one is a little Lego model to construct. Every day, for 24 days, I get to open a door and build a Lego toy. How brilliant is that? It's 24 presents in one, plus I get to start opening Chistmas presents before any of you lot

Day one was a Fireman. How appropriate, considering the recent Beaver and Steve story.
Day two was a set of equipment for the fireman.

Day three, today, is a fire in a crate for the Fireman to extinguish.

Are you as excited as I am about what's behind the door for day four? Advent Calender,Lego,Lil'Sis',
