I turned my Phone into a time lapse camera today...

...With the help of some people off the internet: eirikso.com gammagoblin and The Series 60 weblog. These clever people seemed to have used Foozia Blog as the basis for their work.

You're probably not interested in all the geeky ins and outs as to how I got it working. Though I was quite pleased with myself as I'm not a coder, programmer or l33t hax0r. I'll try & blog the method another time. During the meanwhile, watch the film of my trip to the shops.

OK it's a bit crappy as I'd got the phone clipped to the front of my fleece and my beard got in the way, but I've made it work, so I just have to improve my films.

"Hell is other people."

It sounds like the new tenant(s) are moving in upstairs. No I'm not going to speak to them unless I have to. I'd prefer it if they weren't there at all.
Yes I have a touch of Misanthropy.

Oh Joy! (NOT)

First thing this morning Plumber Moron* is knocking on the door of my flat & asking if I turn the water off in the flat upstairs. Fine, no problem. I then have to pop up and check I've used the right stopcock (No sniggering at the back there) Yes I have, he tells me the reason he needs the water turning off is because he's installing a washing machine. My heart sinks.
"Automatic?" I enquire.
"Yes. Blahblahwahwahblahwahblahwah**"
This is great.
Not.
Because of the layout of the flats the washing machine is going to be above the hall, which is next to my bedroom.
*sigh*
Let's hope they don't use the washing machine at too early an hour, or too late an hour.

*who I suspect has far too much lead in his blood stream.
**= Useless blather I don't need to know or want to know, but he feels obliged to tell me. Probably because he works by himself a lot & needs to spout some of that mental crap that builds up in his head to someone.

The 3 Stooges are funny.

Oh yes they are. Compared to the 3 idiots the Landlord uses to do his building and maintenance. The last week or so has seen, or rather heard, the Landlords builders disturbing my peace as they renovate the flat upstairs. Three more moronic idiots you could not wish to meet. I listened to them trying to move a new bed into the flat upstairs.
BANG BANG BANG
Moron 1: "It's the wheel on the bottom"
BANG BANG BANG. as they try to pass two solid objects through each other (The bed & the wall)
*Sounds of grunting & scraping*
Moron 2: "Hang on try again."
BANG BANG BANG
They persist in trying to force the bed round the corner when it is obvious it won't fit without a bit of thought, or maybe removing the wheels.

They manage to get it round the first corner.

Now they've got to get it round the other corner to get it up stairs.
*Sigh*

Do I need to whinge about the fact they filled my bin up with junk so I couldn't use it and had to keep a bag of rubbish floating about in the kitchen for a week?

Mail Call.

Popping to the shops last night I thumbed through the pile of junk mail that's built up 'on the side' in the hall, preparatory to chucking it out as I passed the bin on my way out. In the pile I discovered a postcard that I should have received about a month ago. It must've been put there by the bloke that lived in the flat upstairs & I missed it. A lovely card from a North German seaside resort. With a report on the beer.

This morning more postal joy. Another Postcard from Germany, Berlin this time & a report on the beer there. Along with this there was a Card from Lil' Sis' who's been to New York, New York so good they named it twice.

With the Postcards there was a package of photos from a visit to France earlier in the year, that brought back happy memories & the urge to look for a cafe and the first Pastis of the day.

I do like getting cards, packages & letters through the post. It's sort of 'old fashioned' & more personal. E-mails are nice, it's contact, but there's something about.. correspondence that's special.

Well most of the time, there was the credit card bill as well.

A great new way to waste time online

Eruditebaboon has posted a new & interesting way to waste time online. It's made me want a graphics tablet even more now. A nice bit of fun. Thanks EB.

Starry starry night

Just been up to the spot gallery to turn the gallery lights off, as they were shining into the clubnight. Thought I may as well have a ciggy on the roof whilst I was up there. It's a lovely clear night & even in town I could see quite a lot of stars.

I should be in the middle of Wales camping out with a bottle of something peaty, malty & warming, whilst looking at the night sky.

Knowing my luck it would be cloudy out there.

Coming from the nokia 9500 via GPRS cool eh?

LOLBOB

Bob Dylan has a new marketing campaign where you can 'mashup' the classic video for 'Subterranean Homesick Blues'. As it creates a Flash video I can't grab it & post it here, but if you follow the links you'll see the two versions I've done. Can you tell I'm a fan of internet memes?

LOLOBOB

You might need to have been on the net a while to 'get' the second one.

BELONG TO BOB

Not a true Subvert as he still gets his Album Advertised. although I didn't 'tag' the singer himself, so that keeps it out of a tag search. Should I add him as a tag?

I'm sure there are cleverer people out there that will be able to make a proper 'mashup' subvert.

I think I broke a law this morning.

Londoners will probably be horrified by the following tale.

I was travelling on The Tube this morning on my way from Euston to Vauxhall. A lass got on & was either having the worst allergy attack ever, or was really upset about something. Her eyes were red, teary & swollen. She was sniffiling. You couldn't help but notice. I couldn't offer her words of comfort as I'm not very good at that sort of thing & I didn't really want to intrude by asking what was up. She might not want to say & it might upset her more.

I could offer practical help though. In the form of a loo roll I carry with me in my work bag. She seemed grateful for being able to blow her nose & wipe her eyes.

I've a feeling from various London blogs I've read that I might have broken some un-written law. I do stand on the right though & keep my bags & feet off the seats.

Hey there Delilah what's it like in New York city?

Probably pretty good. You've escaped from that wet bastard with the guitar. You've got a job in New York off your own bat. You're not waiting for the loser with the guitar, who's convinced that one day he'll be famous, make a fucking fortune & keep you like some sort of 19th Century woman.

Well done Delilah. You go for it.

Yes. I know I'm meant to be blogging the fun at the WBMC, with pictures, but this song pissed me off more than the fun at the WBMC.
