The Problem with Wikipedia The Internet.

I assume some of you read xkcd.com as I've seen the occasional cartoon on your blogs. I've only recently discovered it, so I've been catching up by reading through the archives.

The cartoon below describes exactly my experience of Wikipedia The Interweb as a whole.

By the end of the evening I'm reading a page about something so divorced from what I started reading about at the beginning of the evening. I've forgotten what I was looking at originally. With that in mind...

Ladies & Gentlemen, may I present to you:

The Bristol Stool Scale.

Admit it, now you know this exists next time you visit the loo you're going to be wondering were your stool fits on this chart. This morning mine was.

Connection reset on account of TMI.

WTF is that in the sky?

I seem to remember it from a long time ago, but my memory is a little hazy. There are clouds, but it's not raining & it's warm. weird.

Punch up.

The Friday Night fight on Sky Sports came from our upstairs venue tonight. This means that the shitty clubnight is in the downstairs venue, no worries. This also means that we have to arse around at tea time tomorrow putting all the shitty clubnight stuff back into then upstairs venue. This is a ball ache.

It's Friday night in Wolves (Or any other city for that matter) What the fuck is the point of getting a few losers in a room & televising them fighting? If you want to watch a fight, just wander through your local town centre. I guarantee there will be a fight for you to watch.

Cancel your sky subscription & just go up town if you want to watch a fight.

If you're a youth that thinks you'll make your name as a boxer. Forget it. You won't. You'll just get punched a lot so the people from Sky can make money from charging other people to watch you getting the crap punched out of you.

World Sausage Day?

I've just popped to the corner shop for a pound of sausages. I'm having sausage butties for my lunch. I didn't wake up with a craving for sausage. there must be some subliminal reason for this.

I'm sure there are wurst things I could be eating.

Harry Potter Blah Blah Blah

OK I've read some of the books & will read the whole series. Eventually. Probably when I can pick them up in a charity shop or borrow them off someone. I'm not as excited as some people by the last book coming out.

For those of you that are though and are embarrassed to be seen reading a childrens book try these printable covers to disguise your reading material.

Actually I'm quite upset that 'Alcibiades:Zombie Executioner' doesn't exist.

If not. Why not.

If you're not reading Turtle Vs Bunny I want to know why. An excellent Web Comic where the reader can influence the story by buying a T-shirt, making a banner or making a pinup.

So I've made a pinup. Or rather had one made for me. I found out, in the pub last night, that there is a feature on one of the Sony Ericsson phones that automatically puts a funny surround around you. So I got the lass with the phone to take my picture. See below:

Why doesn't the Lottery have an RSS feed so you can check your numbers really easily?

Ipswich. Where the hell is Ipswich?

On the train early tomorrow, heading for Ipswich for a couple of days work. Load in tomorrow afternoon & out on Tuesday night. That means I'll have a day or so to explore. I have no idea what Ipswich is famous for or what there is to see there. It's one of those parts of the country I'm hazy about. I did think I knew where it was when I first got the gig, but I was thinking of Kings Lynn.
Duh!
Bad really for someone who thinks his geograhpical knowledge is pretty good.
'suppose I better get online & find out then.
With regards to the gig. I'm wondering why Rod Stewart is still doing gigs & who the hell goes to see him. I suppose I'll find out on Tuesday night.
Let's hope the trains are blessed by the spirit of Mussolini tomorrow.
