They're so classy round here.

Popped out for a ciggy & heard the following exchange. Apolgies for the language. I'm only reporting what I heard.

Surly Lad: "Come here Kelly, where you goin'"
Kelly:"Go fuck yourself"
SL:"What?"
K:"You heard. Go fuck yourself. You called me a slag in front of a Paki"
SL"Well you did go in the Pub without us 3"
(SL, K & another couple come into view)
SL "What does that make you eh? A girl going into a pub by herself without us"

What can I say? I dispair.

Burn down the disco

Head bouncer say we're on top terror alert, as the car used down in London came from this area. Give over, who's going to bomb a shitty clubnight in Wolverhampton?

If you must insist on...

...taking around thirty, 10 year olds (all dressed in red jumpers) on the Tube. Don't gather them all together at the bottom of the escalator.

I'm big enough to knock them down like skittles & agile enough to walk over the top of them. There was very nearly a horrible pile up at the bottom of the escalator. With me stomping across a pile of kids..

Wow! This e-mail coming from mobile phone. Cool eh?

The Butterflies wing.

As the train infront was delayed, this has had a knock on effect, other trains are being delayed, delaying ours even more. Mussolini, where are you now? When I need the trains to run on time? :)

The Train Kept a Rolling...

...did it buggery. Sitting outside Birmingham International for some reason. Bloody hell. I'm starting to sound like 'Disgruntled Commuter'.

On a surprise visit to Twickenham today. I had just surfaced this morning when I get a call to see if I can do a job down there. I thought I couldn't & said so. Put the phone down & thought again. Checked the interweb for train times. Rang back. I can do it. So into work to pick up some PPE & off to the station.

Touchwood I shouldn't be back too late tonight & I'll have had a sort of day out.

2nd favourite graffitti

The arrow at the bottom of the text points to a classic 'spunking cock' graffitti drawn on the back of the toilet door. The phone cam wouldn't pick that up though.

You can tell how my mind works

Opened my e-mail & glanced at the subject & in that split second when you decide what something says, saw:

"30 free pints and 25% off photo books"

The split second after that I was wondering what free beer had to do with photo books.

It was 30 free Prints

Something going down in the 'hood

Four motorcycle coppers, with their flashing lights on. Heading down da reans*, as my bus heads up town. Probably to join the other three we passed on the way up. Wonder what the hell was going on there then.

Doing a foreigner.

It seems that one of my favourite Web comic authors has been moonlighting. Yes. Mr James Turner of Beaver & Steve fame has done a most excellent guest strip for Ninja Bunny

A Pleasant Sunday Evening

Had a text yesterday afternoon. Bro' & SIL had just arrived back at Brum airport after a week in Corsica & were in Wolves for thenight before heading back to the NE. So round to a mutual friends house for wine, dial-a-Chinese & chat.

Unusually I had to leave first. Normally it's me that's not got work on Monday & is up for chatting all night. This time the Civil Servants all had Monday off & I had to be in work.

German Beer in the Park

?Leaving town with some shopping & I get asked in a foreign?accent if I know where the beer festival is. Yes I do I'm?heading that way myself. He speaks to his mate in German. He's?moved over here because of a lass he met on holiday. I?wondered why the hell someone from abroad would pick?Wolverhampton to move to.
?Mind you. I knew some German girls from Essen when I was at?college. They chose Wolverhampton over Canterbury & Bangor.?When I asked why, it was because it was an industrial area?like Essen, so they thought they'd be used to it. Wonder?what happened to them???I've now spent a pleasant couple of hours sitting in a big?tent out of the rain drinking German Beer. Weihenstephan,?made by the oldest brewery in the world. (est 1040) Seems?all those years of practice have come good. Pretty tasty?beer. I'm now drinking Erdinger. The Worlds favourite wheat?beer, apparently. Might have to have a bit of food. I think?the choice is sausage, sausage, more sausage or some stuff?called Wurst. I'll have to find out what that is. :)
?This e-mail coming from a Nokia9500. Maybe using WiFi.?Maybe GPRS. Cool eh?

Who wants a text message?

I've got shit loads of texts to use on my 'fun' phone, the one I pay for, not the work one. They're part of the bundle so it's not costing me anything extra. May as well use them didn't I.

Drop me a mobi' number via e-mail & textual intercourse could be beaming your way. Don't worry if you're abroad, the more the merrier.

If you'd like to remain anonymous just sign it with the name of the blog platform (vox/platform27) I can make an SMS list & send a mass text.

Bored. How did you guess :)

A busy Weekend. A simple pleasure makes my day.

Some work at the pile of noisy shite that is the 'Download' music festival. Just visiting on the Friday night as a pal I like to hang out with was there, home again on Saturday & the club night. That loaded out, then a PA loaded in for the Church that rents the Small hall on Sundays. By the time that was done it was Around 06:00 So a kip on the stage for a while, then up to the tech' store for some more kip. Surfaced around 14:00 & down to the local Wetherspoons for a Sunday lunch. A particularly mediocre repast, but cheap & filling with a glass of wine thrown in for the price, so can't complain.

Then back to Download for the load out. Away from there for around 04:30 & back in town for around 06:00 Potter around the flat doing stuff to stay awake 'til it's time for another load in at 09:00. End of the load in & there is a big pile of drapes on the floor of the hall I think it might be an idea to have a lie down on...

...an hour or so later I awake to the band sound checking. A bite to eat & more much needed kip ready for the change over & load out.

The Highlight of my day? One of the Bar staff had brought me a punnet of Strawberries. They were completely fucking lush, probably the best Strawberries I've ever tasted. Naturally sweet, full of flavour & juicy. & that from someone who isn't a big fan of fruit.

What would you do with tongue? Robotic Cow Tongues.

A while back Peanut blogged about cooking Cows Tongue I've just found out that you can't just cook Cows Tongue you can do other things with it.

I'm not going to post the video (I'm not 100% sure how to) but it might also put you off your lunch. I'll provide you with a link to the video though. Check it out. It's bizzarre, unusual & just a bit creep

More evidence against Pandas.

Mr Hover Frog has written an excellent entry describing reasons for Anti-Panda sentiments. This News item backs up the crap nature of the Panda. Though I feel that it's conclusions as to the cause of the Pandas death may be wrong.

The evidence I present is to be found here.

I know a lot of people like messing with the layout & colours schemes on their blogs. Laughing Squid has a post that links to a Whole load of butterfly inspired pallets. Maybe a bit of inspiration there for you lot that like messing with your layouts.

Sunday Funday

Into work for 13:00 to load a PA out, then down the Park for a look at the Steam & Vintage Rally. Some great Traction Engines & old vehicles. I remembered to take my camera & took a load of photos... But. I can't find the cable to synch it to the 'puter & the card reader I've got doesn't read XD cards. Bugger. I'll have to wait until I get into work & borrow bosses card reader. Hmm, maybe the synch cable is at work. Expect pictures in the next few days.

Oh yeah & a crappy video of me paddling a coracle.
