Monday it started snowing.  Not hard, just steady.  By Tuesday night we had about four inches.  Nice and fluffy - easy to shovel.  Then, Tuesday afternoon our temperature jumped all the way up to 34 degrees and we got sleet.  Once again, not much, but enough to make a crust on the four inches we already had.  By Tuesday night we again had more snow - about two inches this time.  So now we had a snow sandwich: snow on either side of an icy crust. Pooh!

Today (Thursday) it is bright and clear with sunshine beaming down on us.  The temperature, however, is down to single digits (around 7 or 8).  In moving the cars around I managed to drop off a small culvert and bury the right front wheel on my wife's car hard enough to make it very difficult to get it out.  I'll never hear the end of that.  I then backed out all the cars and my neighbor, who has a snowplow on the front of HIS pickup, came over and swooped all the snow off my driveway.  Damned decent of him I must say.  He is a self-admitted computer Luddite and I told him that I'd owe him some computer work in exchange.  Took me up on it right away.  His brother gave him a computer but it doesn't boot up so I can take a whack at that for him.  Fair exchange.

So now I am "batching" it for the weekend as the wife has gone off to a "Clay Bash".  This is a polymer clay craft seminar that hits semi-annually.  This time it's just across town, but she wants to stay in the hotel for the duration. No problem.

Oops, teatime. Gotta go.
